It's been a while since I've used MC, but has the "Build cache for... " command disappeared/been replaced somehow?
I see the options for setting the cache locations have moved, but I can't find the 'build cache' command.
Originally I just wanted to setup a directory to use as a 'device' to rebuild my iPod cache after importing a lot of new music
and making some tag changes, but then realized that I can't find the 'build cache' command for any device listed - ie my iPod or Android phone either.

You are correct, it's currently missing.
But it is coming back sometime we believe....
The only way I can find at at the moment is to actually create a dummy handheld on your HDD and tell MC it only supports MP3, then sync your audio files to the dummy handheld, which will then also create the cache for you, then go and delete the handheld files.

Thanks - I was worried I'd done something to my library and was thinking about
completely re-initializing the iPod.
With ~1T of music I really don't want to completely recopy everything
just to save time syncing later. But at least I know everything is working right.
Appreciate the reply.
