Title: What's the difference between WebPlay & WebRemote?
Post by: csimon on November 26, 2010, 08:05:58 am
Is it that WebPlay streams directly to the device you're using (i.e. a handheld) whereas WebRemote allows you to stream to any device that MC can see?

Other than that, the interfaces are exactly the same, except that WebRemote has a Now Playing screen?

That's correct.

They are both built on top of MCWS, the Media Center Web Service.  They both use the same web engine for building HTML pages.

The DevZone has more details if you're interested in customization.
