Title: Gizmo2 - problem updating library
Post by: eapool on December 01, 2010, 07:13:24 am
After I installed Gizmo2, I added a couple new albums to my library on my server and I could not see them on Gizmo2.  In fact, I was in the process of importing the new albums when I installed Gizmo2 and the album that was currently being imported only contained one song when I viewed it on my phone.  Is there some way to refresh the album/ song list?  I uninstalled Gizmo2 and reinstalled it and I was then able to see everything, but I really don't want to have to do that everytime I add more music, or even add a smartlist.

Thanks,

Alex

Restarting Gizmo should be enough.  Or maybe switching servers.

This may be something we can improve.

I will thought I tried killing it and restarting it, but I will try again.  I thought about trying to switch servers, but I only have one, so I couldn't do that.  I did go through the process to reconnect to the server and that didn't do it.

I will update as soon as I get a chance to try it later today.

You may need to restart the server.

Like Jim said, this is something we're thinking about.

Yep, that worked.  I closed Gizmo2, restarted the server, and when I opened Gizmo2 and reconnected, then new stuff was there.  That is a lot easier than reinstalling Gizmo everytime.

Thanks,

Alex
