We're working on adding video support to Gizmo.

Has anyone seen an Android app that plays and shows a video, allows you to switch to another screen (maybe a playlist or info screen) while the video continues to play with audio, and then allows the hardware back button to switch back to the video view where the video is still showing?

We're getting stuck that once a video is hidden, it's impossible to show it again without restarting the video.  You just get a black screen while the audio continues.  It seems like YouTube built into the phone has the same limitation (stops on back), so it could just be an Android thing.

I've never seen such functionality on Android, and I've tried some media players. Might be a good idea to ask for some help from google/android delevelopers. This is supposed to be a good place to ask such questions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/
