Title: suddenly cannot burn CDs

I tried to burn a CD and got the message..."analyzing device" and then "no disc loaded."  I have received such a message before, but the problem was always cured by reloading the CD.  But not this time. ?  I tried loading other blank CDs and still got the same message.  I am using Maxell music CDs.  Have had much success in the past burning music onto this disc.  Any suggestions?
