Title: new IPOD User
Post by: frogmouth on December 05, 2010, 09:13:54 pm
Hi folks

I got myself an IPOD yesterday after having iRiver for years. All I then needed to do so I was told was convert my .OGG format files I played on my iRiver to the IPOD format -AAC.

I downloaded a recommended format converter called Switch Sound file converter and it converted the files smoothly-ie OGG to AAC

I then tried to upload the newly converted file in iTunes and it couldn't see it -read didn't recognise it??

As a test I converted another OGG file to MP3 and iTunes found it, played it no trouble. It would even let me further convert this file to AAC if I wished?

Could anybody throw some light on this please. I thought it was a simple 1 stage conversion process.

Much appreciated

Steve
