Title: Tagging
Post by: khaos10 on June 14, 2002, 07:11:17 pm
Everyone is probably going to get sick of me and all my questions, but I'm not finding this the most intuitive prog in certain areas. I still like it though.

How can I get the tagging out of the lyrics area? Why is it there to begin with? Is there a way I can cut and paste my lyrics and have that work?

I don't understand the question.

If I cut and paste lyrics into the edit area for lyrics for an individual song, it doesn't take. If I understand tagging correctly, it limits the number of characters you can have, thus whatever I'm pasting is seemingly to large for the area. What are the limits, and why do we have them?

Hi khaos100

I've pasted lyrics into the tagging area of MP3 files.  It works fine.

What kind of files are you attempting to save lyrics to? MP3? MPC? Vorbis?

Uncompressed WAV

As stated in the other thread, WAV files don't support tags, and so can't support "tag only" fields.

You might as well use the lossless APE encoder instead of WAV.  You'll save some space, get tagging support, and CRC checking.

Take care.
