Title: Default library
Post by: Vincent Kars on December 14, 2010, 08:11:15 am
I fooled around a little with the Billboard top 100 as suggested by rick.ca
Because of this I made a new library 'Billboard'.
Having finished the job, I want to return to the default library.
But I can't find it.
Might this be the case?
- install MC on a new machine
- MC will scan for audio and stores this in a library (default)
- this library is not listed in File > Library > Load Library
As a consequence, you can't go back to your initial library.

Hello Vincent

no it should be right there.
Have you tried Library Manager? File > Library > Load Library > Library Manager
It should list it, maybe you renamed it?

If not you can check if your library still exists in the default path C:\Documents and Settings\*(user)*\Application Data\J River\Media Center 15\Library
If it still exists you can add it with Library Manager using the add button and selecting the path.

I did a fresh install on a PC without any previous version of MC
In this case Default is not listed.
Thanks for the work around, I indeed solved the problem that way

It must be a bug. I just tried a newly installed portable MC instance (didn't want to uninstall my regular MC instance). I imported a few files to the default library and after that created a new library. Once the new library was loaded there was no normal way to load the default library back.
