In older versions of MC, it used to be possible to add a PIP (picture-in-picture) window onto the Theater View main screen. Gappie describes a solution here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=44416.msg342072#msg342072 but this doesn't appear to to work anymore (from MC15).
Anyone know if there's a way of getting this back?
Thanks

i miss the times it was possible to really do something interesting with a thv skin. as far as i know (and i just tried again) the PIP has no reference to anything anymore. i guess it has something to do with this not using the com anymore (or somthing like that, but the same reason why a vis embedded in a html visualisation does not work anymore).

Thanks for the reply gappie. I figured the capability might have been removed.
I used to like the way the old skins (maybe as far back as version 13) used to display a little PIP window over the Playing Now button. Remember that? I think this would still work very well with the roller skins too, on the main menu. I like the visual feedback that playback is paused or in progress even when I've dropped back out to theater view to do something like check the TV guide.

i remember and agree. there is so much useless space on the front, and would love that back.. not small though. :)

Yeah, I figure there's 3 different sized PIP's shown in Playing Now all up. Arguably the "Info" screen is somewhat redundant as this is available from the "List". Relocating one of those PIP's to the main menu screen (or at least allow skin designers to put it there) would be much appreciated.
