Does anyone know roughly how much data Gizmo uses to stream music?
I'm on a 500 Meg/Month package and don't want to overdo it.

It would depend on what you're streaming. Here's an example:
128Kbps MP3 is about 12K bytes/second.
One minute would be 12K x 60 or 720KB. Call it a MB.
Your plan would support 500 minutes or 8 hours.
I'm not sure what MP3 bitrate our conversion uses, so be cautious the first couple of months. And use the wireless LAN connection whenever you can.

Thanks Jim,
So my flacs are converted to mp3 on the fly but there's there's no settings for rates, it's all preconfigured?

Try the options under Library Server. Low bandwidth, I think.

Gizmo always uses 128 mp3. It is currently not configurable.

Ok, so Jims sums are about right.
Thanks
