Happy New Year!  But as vast majority of the world use dd-mm-yyyy or yyyy-mm-dd ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_and_time_notation_by_country ) don't you mean.... ;D

It works for European worldwide dates as well.  When will that happen again?

there date format makes more sense to me.
