Title: analog input (line in) and multiple zones

I'm new to MC.  I've searched this forum but I'm not sure if I'm using the right keyword, so I may just need help getting to the right location.  Here's what I'd like to know:

It is possible to use an analog input signal (i.e. the "line in" on my audio card) to play using MC?  I'm interested in using the m-audio delta 1010 LT to create a multi-zone system through my existing whole-home audio system.  From what I've read, I should be able to make this work smoothly for local digital content, but can I use the multiple analog inputs from the 1010 be able to channel audio from various analog devices to my different zones?
