Title: Panasonic Blu-Ray Player DMP-DB85 with dlna
Post by: helpme on January 04, 2011, 08:13:36 pm
Anybody have any luck connecting one of these ?

I can see the Media Center server and can see files under music, pictures and video.

Panasonic advise that the device does not play music over the dlna server (although it plays the same files from a USB) surprising but not a showstopper.

I can see and view pictures in jpg format without problems.

I can see video files but can't play them on the Panasonic I just get an error message saying can't play. The player is supposed to play MPG2 and Divx files but even if i select a file in this format it won't play. I've tried all the video conversion options without any sucess.

Any ideas ?

Thanks Stephen

Anybody have any suggestions ?

I have tried everything i can find under the other DNLA threads but I still get teh same result:-

Images play fine

Video files are found and shown on screen but even MPG2 files without any conversion fail to play when selected.

We've done some work that is not yet public but which may affect this.  Soon.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep a lookout for updates.

Panasonic themselves have not been much help on this.
