Title: Import and ignore certain files
Post by: rossp on January 05, 2011, 04:39:47 am
Happy New Year all.

Is it possible to import a folder into MC and ignore certain files in it.

i.e Import a folder called Toy Story 2 and ignore

backdrop.jpg and mymovies.xml (I know folder.jpg can be ignored)

I want MC to read mymovies.xml and use the values but not import the file.

I think a field in auto import where you could set files to be ignored would be a great addition.

but you do set what filetypes that are imported in autoimport, so uncheck .xml

if there are certain files you dont want to see, you can exclude them in the views or in the topfilter aka access control

I can uncheck .xml files but that excludes all of them. I can't uncheck .jpg as I would then not get any images into MC.

I only want to exclude files with backdrop.jpg and mymovies.xml filenames.

I can setup views not to see them or delete them from the library but this seems to be a messy solution.

messy  :)

add this to accesscontrol

-[Filename (name)]=[backdrop.jpg" -[Filename (name)]=[mymovies.xml"
