Hey guys,
Is there any way to have theater view be the default view that comes up when we launch MC15? And if THATS possible, is it possible to then have AUDIO be the default selection that is automatically taken you into the albums etc?
Thanks!

absolutely!
Startup (in options)

I've never found a way to actually have it go into the audio section.
I have start-up in theater view no problem.
Any way to have it start in: Theater-view/Audio
-
Yeah, me neither. I am also trying to find a way to have it start up with a remote control/ir?
-
I have a touch screen pc -
When launching MC to use with touchscreen it would be great to have it open in Theatre view
however when doing more mundane tasks I prefer to open in 'normal' view
Is there any way of adding a parameter to a windows shortcut which would determine the view when MC opens.
I could then have anormal shortcut and a theatre shortcut.

MC15.exe /Mode Theater starts MC in Theatre View. See The Command Line (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/The_Command_Line) for further options.
MC15.exe /MCC 22001, 0 toggles Standard/Theatre View. According to the wiki (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Center_Core_Commands#View), changing the parameter from "0" to "3" should open Theatre View at "Audio," but it doesn't seem to work. :-\

MC's startup options let you start in Theater View. You can also start MC at Windows start.
Options has a search window.

I've got it set and it works fine starting MC when windows starts and going into theater view.
I wish then to have it automatically go one further step...into "Audio"
In "options", "startup" I have selected Mode as: "Theater View"
..and I've selected "Location" as "Audio", but when Startup Mode is Theater View, Location seems to be somewhat meaningless.

I've selected "Location" as "Audio", but when Startup Mode is Theater View, Location seems to be somewhat meaningless.
By design, that applies only to Standard View. A choice to select a particular view on startup in Standard View doesn't suggest the same menu item should be selected on startup in Theatre View. But why does it matter? The Audio menu is only one button press away.

it would be nice to eliminate that one more button push every time.
but it's no big deal.
