Title: Media Jukebox won't install right
Post by: Chris on June 11, 2002, 09:10:58 am
I downloaded and install Media Jukebox 8.0.293 and restored my license.  I am running Windows XP Pro.  The problem is that it won't add a shortcut to the Startup menu, and it will not run properly.  It just throws up a blacked out window.  The only way I got it to run at all, was to launch it at the end of installation, but when I close the program, then it's gone; no restarting it. Do I have the wrong version or what ?   The 8 beta version worked ok.

Are you running as the user you were when you installed?

Did you install the full 9MB version as that user?

For each user you want to run as, install a complete copy of MJ while you are that user.

Hmmm ... you were right Jim H.  When I click on the shortcut, using administrator password, 'Run as' -- it works.  Never had to do that before !!!  Damned XP protection !!!  AAAAHHHHH
