Hi
I'm converting some of my AIFF files to flac. In the converter options, there is entry call Quality Settings (0-8). Can I know what does it represent? The compression settings? If so what does 0 and 8 means?
thanks

If so what does 0 and 8 means?
"How hard should I try to compress?"
-
Yes, that is the amount of compression applied, 0 is the least (somewhat larger file), 8 is the most (somewhat smaller file). I believe most people agree 6 is a good compromise between size and speed, the music quality remains the same for all levels.

Just leave the default. You can only save 2 or 3% and it will slow down compression.
