Title: USB out from Id to DAC

Is the USB port on the Id a USB out that can be connected to an async. USB DAC input.
Right now my connection is from a laptop to Ayer Qb-9 to AV receiver. Can I replace the laptop with an Id and play music from my laptop placed elsewhere in my network? Also will the sound quality be the same and will all sample rates still be supported.

The USB port is only used for configuration and updating firmware.

The sound quality is good, but not audiophile quality.
