Title: Exceeding file size limit when uploading to device
Post by: fmill0 on June 09, 2002, 05:03:53 pm
I am using the latest RC of MJ 8.  I have a sandisk imagemate connected via USB.  Whenever I try to upload a number of files which exceeds the capacity of my smartmedia card (apx 128 mb), MJ tells me I have exceeded my limit.  Click 'OK', upload appears to proceed but nothing happens.  Click 'Cancel', MJ hangs the Ctrl-Alt-Del and its killed. (ahh, for the days of ps and kill).

Anyone seen this yet?  I know that the major bugs are cured but this is a bit of a thorn in my side.  When ul'ing directly to an MP3 device (say Nomad) MJ allows me to add more than the file limit, then just ignores the extras.  I like this behavior, but I rather less like the whole 'crashing when filesize exceeds device limit'.

fmill00,

I will make the removable drive Plug-in behave like the Nomad in the next build.

Thanks,

Steve
