Title: rip multiple dvds concurrently?

When I look at the "max rip processes" option, the max is the count of dvd drives on the pc, this gives me the impression that I should be able to rip multiple dvds concurrently.  However, If I stick two dvds in drives, none of them will rip.  Does anyone know what's going on?
