Title: Music to my DAC
Post by: Barbie-boy on February 28, 2011, 05:10:20 pm
Hi, I have a valve amp set up with dedicated speakers for music replay and a AV amp / 5.1 set up and its speakers for movies.

I have just migrated from jukebox to MC16, but can I output my music to my DAC (SPIF COAX Stereo 192 / 24 Waspi) to the valve amp set up, and then for movies - Surround sound via my graphic card's HDMI to my AV amp ?

Is it possible to have different output options for music and movies ? I think having to switch outputs each time I change media will quickly start to do my head in, I may as well return to Jukebox and play movies via my usual programe. Hope not.

Thanks

Yes.  On the Wiki, start at "Audio Output Modes"
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Output_Modes

and "DAC Settings"

Audio and video can use different sound cards if you want.
