It's very nice to see madvr support in MC. I've not used MC for video playback much at all since I've been using madvr for a while now through another player. Thought I'd give it a go here and excellent work, it works great. In the process of playing with MC and my collection of tv shows I've run into a question. I have an automated process already that renames all my shows and episodes in a "Show - SxxExx - Name" format. I have then run a "Fill Properties From Filename" to get the correct show name, episode name, season number and episode number into MC. My files will always be named in this format and I was wondering if there's a way to have MC automatically fill the tag values from the filename on import? I realize it's not that much effort for me to do it manually but I guess I'm lazy and like to automate as much as I can.

Thanks, I looked at that and it is nice but every time MC is restarted it disables itself. Doesn't seem like it's been worked on for a while.

We've actually had a LOT of discussions about this type of stuff recently as the early MC16 stuff has developed. I'd expect to see some changes in this area over time, though how much of it will make it into "this cycle" of development isn't yet decided.
I can't go into great detail on this, because some of the discussions were on the closed beta board and aren't supposed to be public, but keep an eye out. There will be some changes coming.

It could be a long wait. It would be nice if that one debilitating behaviour were removed from AutoTagger. Wider use of the plugin would provide experience that might be helpful in the design of a "built-in" version.

Would be great to have this built into MC, maybe like create a "macro" then have it trigger off various events like after an import.
autotagger will almost do exactly what I was looking for, except it seems to only have a time trigger. Would be nice to set a trigger off any type of event... and if it just wouldn't disable after a restart. Oh well, I'll wait patiently and see what happens with MC.
