Title: IPTV (RTSP stream) into JRiver Needed
Post by: Facel on March 04, 2011, 03:28:24 am

According to the posts I have red,  JRiver does not support IPTV yet !!! (what a scandal for such a brilliant product  ;))

Do you think that this software could help JRiver Media center to get theses (so wanted) IPTV channel ?

Could Jim and his team modify MC16 to make this soft operationnal within JRiver ?

regards

I asked (http://dvblogic.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=8358) the DVBLogic developer to return the support of DVB-T, but the results yet. They do not want to return the support legacy DVB-T.
I see 2 ways here for MC support team - DVB-S support  ::) ;D, or, more likely, rendering of DLNA TV stream.

Thanks

I have set up BigPondTV RTSP streams in MC here in Oz.

Got around it by doing the following...

Change the "rtsp://" to http://

Once playing, import the stream to your library and tag the media Type "Video" and Sub-Type "TV Show".

Tag the Series as, say, IPTV.

Create a new Library Item in Tools > Options > Theater View with the rule Series = "IPTV"

Nest the item under "Television"

It's not completely integrated with TV Functionality (Can't assign channel numbers etc) but works for now...
