Title: Is this a Windows or an MJ quirk?
Post by: shelly on June 07, 2002, 04:43:59 am
In reviewing my album and artists listings I've discovered several instances of identical field values displaying as different values.  Ok, that probably doesn't make any sense, but it's early.  So, here's an example:

Various Isn't It Romantic Artists
Various Isn't It Romantic Artists

I can't see any difference between these 2 album artists.  Some of the album tracks were ripped at a later date than others and therefore, the album artists were entered at different times.  The original tracks ripped display under the first name, the later tracks under the second name.  This isn't an isolated example.  Is this just one of those wierd Windows quirks? Or is it an MJ bug?

Could be a space in one of the names.  That bug was fixed recently, I think.

Jim, I pasted the names directly from MJ.  Is it a space that isn't readily visible?

Maybe check for spaces at the end of the field.

It looks like the space at the end of the string was the culprit.  Thanks Next Page
