Title: Help needed with expanded use of MC Document section

I have ventured beyond music and video.  I started using the document side to manage my e-books.  It's does it great, just like with music.  I am in the process of populating various fields now. When you make changes to a mp3 the modified date changes and you can sync based on that.  I can't find a way to do that with the e-books.  Even renaming the file doesn't seem to change the date. Is there any other way to seen when it was modified in the library?  Any help on this would greatly appreciated.
