I think this was an issue for me with MJ, but I don't remember... anyway I'm really noticing it now. Whenever I stop playback, MC freezes temporarily for a few seconds while the track keeps playing, and then playback stops and it's unfrozen...
[edit] I should add that it only freezes on stop, not pause or skip.

If you enable fadeout on stop, it could cause this.
Otherwise, please send me a log (matt at jriver dot com) from Help > Logging showing the slowness. Then we'll figure out where to go next.
Thanks.

Also, what types of files are you playing?
Files that use DirectShow decoders (like M4A, etc.) can be slower to stop than natively decoded files depending on the decoder.

Well you were right; I had enabled fadeout on stop... should have thought of that. It works fine with immediate. Is this something they're working on? I really like fadeout on stop...
Thanks for your help!
