Title: JRiver and Naim unitiqute
Post by: mgendron on March 11, 2011, 06:06:36 am
I just got a Naim Unitiqute and download JRiver. I run my laptop throught Windows 7 and my Naim just keep reaching for Window Media. What can I do to put JRiver and the Naim in connection?

Welcome to the forum.

It looks like this is your device:

and it is UPnP compatible.  In MC's Options for Media Network, turn on the DLNA options.  Read more about DLNA on our wiki.

Congrats on your UnitiQute purchase.  GREAT piece of kit.

You will use this as your "renderer", and you will set-up MC as the "server"

Grab PlugPlayer for your iOS device if you have one.

Cheers!

I can see on the Naim the info up to play, but it cannot play the music. «FAIL - FORMAT NON-SUPPORTED» so it cannot play the FLAC songs.

What type of files?  Where did you get them?

If the device can't play a FLAC file, MC can convert them as they are played.

I copy that cd in FLAC, didn't play but got others in the same file and everything is OK. By the way, how do you add a picture, as cover, when I copy a cd which do show any a cover. And secondo, it keep coping the cd all songs together not 1 by 1?
