Title: Library Server Problems

Initially I had problems with MC16 connecting from the client to ther library server. Later it worked with MC16 and I did not know why it worked. It always worked with MC 16. After installing build 49 it does not work anymore. What ever I do, I cannot connect from the cleient to the linrary on the server. And I do not know why.

Can you help?

What I would like to understand is
- how can I check the library server is realy running?
- how can I start it manually?

I have checked "run server an mc on windows startup".
The firewall is open for the standard port. Switching off the firewall does not help.



My system is Windows 7

Make sure you have the same build of MC16 on each machine.  Make sure networking is turned on in Media Network.

Try generating a new Access Key.  Maybe the IP address changed.

I did all this - no change.
I will now completely reinstall on server and client and see what happens.

You can check the MC Server service is running in the Windows "Services" panel (don't know where exactly on win7, somewhere in the Control Panel, Administrative Tools or something like that). Then just look for a service called "Media Center 16 Service). Check its status is Started. If not, right click and "Start".

Are all the server functionalities activated together ? I mean if the Web UI works, does it mean the library server should work ?
