I have two MP3 players; an iPod and a Sansa. My entire flac library has already been converted to MP3 Extreme for the iPod and is stacked with the flacs. For the Sansa I have it set for mp3 Normal and to "convert unsupported formats and high bitrates." The problem is that it doesn't convert; it simply copies the high bitrate mp3 Extreme from the stack. I was expecting it to reconvert the flac to the bitrate I had selected for the device.

I have the same problem: when transferring (unsupported) m4a files to the sansa clip+ they are not converted to mp3 although that is what is specified. I just get the original unplayable m4a files on the handheld. No transcoding takes place.
Solution anyone?

This build might fix that problem:
http://files.jriver.com/mediacenter/MediaCenter160055.exe
It has native support for m4a. It may also have some rough edges.

That worked beautifully. Thank you, Jim

The problem is back again with the current 16.0.81 build. Unsupported file formats (m4a) are not converted to mp3 when transferred to Sansa Clip+ despite that option being chosen. I get the unplayable m4a file without any conversion.
