Title: Sync metadata for specific files with device

This is probably something obvious that I simply can't figure out...

I have a music library that is large enough that it doesn't fit on my device entirely, so I want to sync only the specific things. I did so by dragging and dropping folders from Artist view to the device pane in bottom left corner, and then clicking "Sync" button. Everything worked out great - now I only have what I want there.

The problem is, if I then change tags, cover art etc in my library, how do I propagate those changes to the device? If I click "Sync", it says that "Sync is not configured for device", and opens a dialog where I have to set up what I want to sync - and it seems that it doesn't let me get any less selective there than "All audio". But I want to keep my original music selection intact - I only want to update metadata for it.

The trick is to make a playlist.
