I was wondering if it was possible to sort you album/artist tree in terms of year of relaese instead of alphabetical order. I do tag everything with year which is a normal tagging option. This would be a nice option. Perhaps it is already possible and I just haven't been able to access this feature.

You can view your library the way you want. You just have to create a View Scheme.
From the help file:
To Add a View Scheme
Right click on Media Library or any other scheme in the organization tree and select "Add new View Scheme".
Click on "Add".
In your case, select YEAR.
Then select other items, if you want.
Look under Media Library, and you will see "Year". Click on it, and all your files are sorted by year.

Thanks for you quick reply lise and I do understand what you are saying but I was wondering if the tree would sort the album artist view by year. I can get it to sort via year but I would like to see the tree with the album titles sorted by year not alphabetically. So when I see AC/DC I have a list under them in chronological order of albums. I was thinking to sort just by year as you have explained but I prefer to see things by artist. I had the view set up under artist with year then album but then I have to click the plus on the year to see the albums this feature would be ok for me if there wasn't the plus sign to click. So you would already see the album for that year.

ok, I get you now. Hmm. I'll have to think about that one. Perhaps with rules in the search criteria? I can barely spell my name right now I'm so tired, but I'll think about it.

That would be an feature I have been waiting for too.
