I thought it was possible to copy music (in my case to my phone) and at the same time change the bitrate to a lower level so I could store more music on the phone.
I figured I had to do that this way:
- Send to external device
- in the 'Options' section change the bitrate in the Conversion/Encoder settings
But that did not do the trick.
Did I miss something?

Bump... Anybody?

So, you created a Handheld device. Did you set the options for Audio: Mode to Always convert or Always convert unsupported formats and high bitrates?
A little more info please...
-
Just a bit of guess work:
Try "always convert" to force conversion of supported formats.
Maybe this triggers the conversion to a lower bit rate.

Thanks Vincent and MrC - that did the trick. (program it in the Options section).
Is there a FAQ about what and how with syncing with mobile devices? Playlists etc., I mean.
-
See the Wiki, available via the Support section top of this Forum. Lots of good info there.

As my collection is a bit bigger than my SD card, I make playlist.
This list I use to sync.
A couple of screen shots can be found here: http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/Players/MC14/MC_sync.htm

Thank, MrC - I already did check the WiKi, but I thought there would be more possible.
Thanks Vincent, too. Your website is cool too. (as one Dutch guy to another: hartstikke bedankt!)
