I can't be the only one that uses a flash drive with their car stereo that could use this ( no car stereos support replay gain).

It could be the same way foobar or mp3gain does it.

Foobar2000 has the ability to to load and use vst plugins within a directsound container as part of audio format conversion chain. Although I found this to be a rather unintuitive and fiddly processes with somewhat buggy results.

Another useful feature could allow a user to use the 'format converter' to extract audio from videos files including files that have been downloaded from youtube for example.

Post by: cncb on August 10, 2011, 10:06:54 am: It has been nearly 14 months since it was indicated that this was on the list to be implemented. In the meantime, features like "Audio Protect" have been added which I don't remember anyone asking for. It this ever really going to happen or should I just move on?

Wow, I stand corrected. It's too late for me but you should ask for more things while you're at it, tuxedo_fr, since you seem to be pretty powerful...
