Title: How to save View tabs?

Is there a setting that I am missing? thanks

Tabs aren't "saved"—they persist until closed. A tab simply displays whatever view is selected in the tree. To save a view, select the command from the bottom of the "Settings" section of the Customize View window. Depending on your reason for saving the view, you might find it more effective to simply make a copy by dragging and dropping it in the tree.

Also check out "Tools > Options > Startup > Startup Interface > Location:".

If you set that to "Last Location" then next time you launch MC, all your view tabs will load whichever view it was showing when you quit MC.
