Title: Feture request: don't clear my playing now all the time.
Post by: flac.rules on April 06, 2011, 12:28:52 pm
I know i can set the double-click-behavior. Thats nice, but there is so many other ways to play stuff that is not handled "properly", i want to be able to get MC to do the same thing (adding to playing now for instance) no matter how i play files, that includes the following

1. Double-clicking on a file when MC is closed
2. Pushing a button labeled "play" anywhere (for instance by playlists).
3. When watching a youtube-video directly in MC.

Its pretty annoying that playing now gets cleared unless you are really careful, and its not really that easy to undo.

Somewhat related to this I would also like:

1) Remember Playing Now for connected Library Server clients instead of restoring that of the main zone on the server each time they connect.

2) Have different Playing Nows for different media types.  For example, have a "video" Playing Now so that when watching a movie it won't clear all the music you may have added.  I know Zones can kind of do this now but it is not automatic.

You can use Playlists > Recent Playing Now's to resume or save a previous Playing Now.

Thanks for the tip, but I am aware of the feature, and I have to for instance sort the playlist again, and find the place i was in the list etc. Its a nice feature, but regardless I feel someway to have a more consistent handling of what happens when you add files to playing now would be very nice.
