Matt - Are y'all planning to address the issue below in MC16?

Ideally, it would be nice to turn on/off entry drop-down lists for any given field... or turn it off completely.

agree, but until..you can manage this by using expression in a list view ie ([your field])
or use "large value" fields that has no lookup function.

I missed that, thanks... and I haven't made the switch to 16 yet (although I bought it).

Will investigate... but I'm really not sure what you mean by "large value" fields?

it's a "edit type" (manage library fields)..it's not perfect but it's better than nothing..i also find  the drop-down list not suitable for every occasion/field.
