Title: Question about audio conversion in DLNA server
Post by: csimon on April 11, 2011, 04:41:44 am
If I select Always Convert, in order to use volume levelling, and select Uncompressed Stream as the conversion type, what exactly does the receiving device see?  Is it effectively a WAV?

It's LPCM, which is WAV with a different byte order and a different header.  It's uncompressed.

It's headerless, big endian. Like the raw stream from a CD. It's the one audio format support required by the DLNA spec.
