This is a big problem for me as I can't use the Library Server/Client environment to manage my images if I can't rotate from the client. It just gives me a "Failed to rotate image" error message (and yes it is a resolution that can be rotated).
-
JPEG rotation requires write access to the file, and as such, is not supported over Library Server.
It would be a nice addition someday.
-
For the actual file rotation could it check to see if the file is directly accessible from the client before failing? I have write access from the client to the path stored in the library/server. Otherwise, could it work like file deletion does now (the server does it on sync)? Thanks.
-
Any chance this could be implemented as below? Please? It literally is the only thing preventing me from using MC for image management as I can do everything else from a client (tag, add, delete).
-
Another "pretty please". Without this I will have to either move my big "server" upstairs, go down to the basement just to rotate photos, have multiple libraries, or go back to different software for image management. None of these options are appealing...

Another "pretty please".
Since you asked so nicely ;)
We'll try to look at this in the next couple weeks.
Thanks.

This is now available in 16.0.86 and newer:
NEW: Added the ability to rotate images from a Library Server client (requires an authenticated connection).

Yes, and it's working great. Thanks!
