Media Jukebox 8.0.290 is available:

Please back up your library and your license (version 7 licenses only; version 8 licenses can be restored from our web page -- see the FAQ for more info).
History:
1. Fixed: MJ could do too aggressive of an update when dragging files to a device. (sorting, etc. was lost)
2. Fixed: Playback "can't display visualizations" warning wouldn't display for Windows Media and Real streams.
3. Fixed: JMX files would not play correctly.
4. Fixed: Switching from mini-me to full screen mode would not update plug-in selection.
5. Fixed: Removing some files from mini-me playlist would remove hilighting of currently playing item.
6. Fixed: Media Jukebox was crashing during start up, while accessing ASPI dlls (on WinME, maybe on others).
7. NEW: Added MpegPlug format to the list of formats supported by Media Server.
8. Fixed: Toolbar would not paint correctly on Win98 and Win2000
9. Fixed: MJ would crash during tag saving if file had bad MusicMatch tags.

Do you mean that MPC format can be served by Media Server now ?
If so, that doesn't run. I can see all mpc files from the client but I cannot play them.
Both client and server version are 290.

I have tested the Media Server on my network here at home, and everything works as it should. Make sure you have the latest plugin available on the plugins page (released yesterday shortly after the new build).

Indeed I hadn't the latest one. Now that runs right and my daugher will be happy

Is this why "Check for Updates" tells me there's no new version?
