Hi,
How do I configure a view such that I can filter by location (directory) on one pane and the available album covers show up?
I can change the panes view to filter by location and show the available albums (but this gives the name not the cover art).
Is it possible to use the "files" under "audio" instead of "panes" under "audio" to do this?
thanks very much, have been trying forever

I am no expert.. but I am up..
How about the drop down for Panes - List Style - Album Thumbnail..

if I do that, I lose the location filters.
ideally i can have the following:
I can have the top left pane that shows the file location and allows me to select the directory
the top right pane shows the available album covers
the bottom pane shows the available songs
so I can click on the top left pane to choose the directory, click on the top right pane to choose the album, then click below to choose the song.

I believe the panes are just going to give you lists...

Datan, would you be satisfied with album thumbnails in the file list below?

i would like to see the songs so i can choose which to play

You can see both. See screenshot:
