Title: How can I number songs on Burn CD?
Post by: sleepy on September 14, 2003, 12:13:10 pm
My mp3 player automatically sorts all the files in each directory alphabetically prior to playback. I have a playlist with various artists all interspersed and I would like to maintain playback order when my mp3 player plays them. I am currently setting the Burn CD option to "None" since I am trying to maintain playlist order on playback.

One way of doing this would be for each file name to have a number 001, 002, etc. prepended to file on burn to CD. This would work, but I don't see such an option in MJ8.

Anyone have any suggestions before I hack togeter a program that takes a playlist and copies the files to an empty folder, renaming them as described.

(Of course once I get this far, I'll probably use Nero to burn them since the songs will no longer be in MJ and I won't want to import them since duplicates will abound!)

You could use MC version 9.1 which has the option to prefix playlist order to the filenames on the burned CD.
