Title: Artist image not changed immediately?

I haven't really tried getting artist images since it was first introduced. I just tried it and I didn't get a warning message but I didn't see the album cover stack change to an artist image either. I had to go to a different view and back again to see the change. I don't recall it being this way at the beginning. Was it always this way?
