I've got a pretty large collection of music with high quality cover art but a limited amount of bandwidth I can use. When I keep my server running and I connect to it remotely, I am using hundreds of megabytes of data bandwidth downloading thumbnails. Is there a way for this to be ignored? If not, this would be a great feature so I could simply stream the music and not download tons of cover art and thumbnails.

You didn't mention if you're using Gizmo or Library Server Client.
Library Server Client caches thumbnails, so they will only be downloaded one time per client, even across multiple runs.
Gizmo only downloads thumbnails on demand, but it resizes them to the size on the screen so they don't take too much bandwidth.
