Title: Confused preparing files for iPod
Post by: PaulZ on May 17, 2011, 07:41:58 pm
What I’ve done so far in MC:

-   MC: Ripped 300 albums to FLAC (5,000 tracks)
-   MC: Did lots of tagging
-   MC: Converted these to MP3_Extreme in a separate folder (12 hours)
-   MC: Got these messages when the conversion was through”
-   “Successfully converted 5043 files
-   No conversion necessary for 2 files
-   Failed to convert 32 files”

-   iTunes: pointed it to directory MP3_Extreme
-   iTunes: imported the files and is now downloading new artwork
-

Questions
1.   How do I determine which files were not converted?
2.   Is the artwork supposed to convert also?  I see no .jpg in the artist / album folder.  Did I miss a setting in MC?
3.   How do I setup a new library to just reference this MP3 folder in MC?
-Backup, Clear, rename, configure auto-Import to point to MP3_Extreme, backup?

4.   How do I use MC instead of iTunes to load up the iPad with the MP3 files?
5.   How do I switch between my Flac files database and the MP3_Extreme ones.

What should I do now in MC and the iPad?
