Changed to win 7 now my mkv have the jitters.
Taken off windows acceleration
lip sync
using cccp
coreavc
Willing to try swapping around the filters to play mkv
Please

Try changing renderers from EVR to VMR 9.
If your computer is powerful enough you could try out madVR as your renderer.
What type of video card are you using? That will help us narrow down the best filters to use (the new versions of CoreAVC seem to be having some issues).
Could you right click a playing mkv file, copy the filter list, and paste it here?
-
I have taken off coreavc and cccp and I am trying sharks win 7 codecs but there is no difference.
Graphics card is Nvidia Gforce 9500
Hardware accelerated graphics is set on Auto
I did read somewhere about telling win 7 to use my codecs but I am not sure where that is.
The panning is really painful as it is jumpy.

I can't really go into detail, but I'd wait a bit for the next public build of MC before I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out what filters you need installed. Seriously.
-
Very cryptic.
I will wait for the new build
Thanks

I also have quite a few movies that have played prior to win 7

That's a fairly standard XviD AVI with AC3 audio. It should be playable on Windows 7 with CCCP. However, you may need to override the default windows MPEG-4 ASP decoder using the Windows 7 Preferred Filter Tweaker tool (http://www.codecguide.com/windows7_preferred_filter_tweaker.htm) and set it to use FFDSHOW. By default, Windows 7 uses it's own built-in decoders for MPEG-2/4 content (including XviD) but doesn't always support the full feature set of the encoders, so sometimes things won't play back with the built-in ones if they are a little "funky" (which may include AC3 in an AVI container, I'm not sure).
But again, I'd wait a piece.

Your filters are pretty messy. Since you have a CUDA card and it sounds like you may have a CPU-power issue.
Try installing LAV CUVID: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=160290
and
LAV Splitter/Audio: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156191
Go to Tools->Options->Video
Select mkv under Decoders, Renderers, and more....
Under Source Splitter, select: LAV Splitter
Under other filters, select: LAV Audio Decoder, LAV CUVID Decoder
Under renderer, choose: Enhanced Video Renderer
-
Should I uninstall the other codecs first?
should I clean the system also

Probably not necessary, at least to get the mkv's playing right. By selecting the LAV filters in JRiver you are excluding the other installed filters, so they probably aren't a big deal.
I would also recommend installing the newest nVidia Forceware drivers, as well.

I have noted that my system downloaded build 87 yet only 86 is available here.
Should I drop back to 86?
Also noted that a lot of my problems have stemmed from tranfering files within MC to another drive most of the ones that wont play are fine after a new rip of the dvd is made.

No. Build 87 was just a test of the new auto-updater system.

Are you ever going to try the suggestions? There's really no way to confirm if this is a data corruption issue vs. bad directshow filters without some troubleshooting.

This (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=64277.msg430273#msg430273) is why I said to wait. ;) ;D

I am waiting but it is very frustrating not being able to watch half the library.

the version with the auto configuration is out now, it's version .97
