Title: video error message.."a decoder for the new track cannot be found."

windows 7
64 bit.
When i try to play a .MTS file i receive the error message, "a decoder for the new track cannot be found." and i click ok... it plays the file, but would rather this not pop up each time i play.
 downloaded CCCP. please can you walk me through the filetypes settings. i have read much and tried various settings to no avail. thanks. jen
