I just got a message from jriver saying my licensed copy of MJ8 was illegally installed on my computer. I have it licensed on 2 desktops and my laptop that I carry with me (but all of these from 1 purchase of license). Is this not OK according to the license?
-
If you were previously using a crack, you'll need to get rid of it. You can install the license on any of your personal PC's.
Please see the FAQ for details.

I have gotten the same message. I
had to go back to using the version 7

Then we'll be criticized for modifying people's machines.
I have little sympathy for people with this problem.
That said, we will try to help them with the "transition".

Jim,
I agree that you should have little sympathy for
people who are trying to use a crack. It appears
however, that your "crack detector" is a little bit
over zealous and is also causing problems for innocent
people as well. Be careful how quickly you condemn
someone.

Just because some user tells you they don't do something or they do do something does not make it so.
-
One should avoid crack in any form. Jim is gracious in offering to help
"transitions".

yes, it should show up as "#####"

I did not use a crack--I bought the license almost a year ago (?) in v7. But I surely don't want the DOJ to think I am illegally getting software! Any suggestions?

Email me at jimh @ jriver.com and I'll help you sort it out.
