Title: DSP demand
Post by: alder0 on May 22, 2011, 03:59:24 pm
I installed the new update, and realized that Media Center didn't remind me of my outstanding backed up libraries--that would really be helpful for those of us that don't remember such things.

Then when I tried to play WMA lossless CD files, I keep getting the "won't go-away" message that I've got an incompatible format & should use 44.1KB, 32 bits & 2 channels.  When I look at the DSP outputs, that's what they are set for.  This type of message is not appropriate when I'm playing a DVD, for example--where the input setting should be the source # of channels at the source level of digitization.

What am I doing wrong (or not doing)?

You can restore any backup you may have.

Is the DSP "Output Format" checked?

What is it playing to?  A receiver?
