So i finally got brave and decided to try and sync my ipod to Media Jukebox.... and nothing happened. My ipod isn't recognized (windows comes up and asks to install a driver)... but MJ doesnt recognize it all....
I thought one could sync wo/ installing itunes - (Thats my main goal - to avoid having to install itunes).
Is this possible or am I living a itunes free pipe dream? thx.

MC and MJ only support older iPods. Please read on the iPod board here.
We would support newer ones if Apple wasn't so unfriendly to other developers.

I have a really old one... 40 gig, no pictures or anything....
I'm thinking its a windows thing because it wont even recognize it... when i go through MJ even to try and manually add a device there is nothing to select... im guessing if i install itunes it will have a shot of recognizing i just plugged in an ipod - but that kinda defeats the purpose - i was hoping not to install itunes at all because it comes with so much junk....
thx.

FYI: I think i got it working... i believe the issue was a windows driver problem - not related to MJ. thanks!
