Title: Webremote settings lost during upgrade from MC15 to MC16
Post by: ChrisRainman on May 28, 2011, 04:40:01 pm
The views I defined in MC15 for webremote are lost within MC16. I remember you added a function to store the settings of MC. Is there a way to get this settings updated without adding the view settings and rules manually again?

No one there to give a statement about this issue?

It is really very annoying that these views are not upgraded to MC 16. It took me a while to define these views. I access them via web browser (iphone / ipad). Defining them again manually would take some time. Also, what would happen in MC17? Doing the work again?

I searched the registry but could not find settins referring to this.

It's a one time loss because of a change in the architecture.

Sad. There is no way to rebuild the settings via registry or a config file?

Do you plan to allow saving such view sets? They occur in WebRemote, WebPlay, Gizmo (you aggregated them already), Theater View and in a similar way in view schemes.

No. There is no way of getting them back. Even if you managed to tweak them back, they would most likely be broken. You need to manually configure it again. It's been done as a one time thing to support a new way of organizing views and more. Every view should be saved after this one. It's automatically added to backups.
